Google Font manager
Use Google Fonts in text elements with on-demand loading, per-family cached variants, and device-level cache management controls.
Typography matters in contact sheets, especially when text carries technical context.
What it is
Sequence Pro supports Google Fonts in text elements through the font selector. Selected faces load on demand and can be reused from cache.
Evidence-backed behaviors
- Font family can be selected per text element via the text inspector.
- Google font selections carry weight/italic information in the family token.
- Cached families are shown with available variants for quick switching.
- The cache panel can reveal the cache folder in Finder.
- You can remove one cached family or clear all cached Google fonts.
Important safeguards
- Removing a currently active family is blocked until you switch to another font.
- Clearing cache removes local files; selecting the face again re-downloads as needed.
Practical workflow
- Choose a Google Font in a text element.
- Tune size, line height, spacing, and wrap for readability.
- Reuse cached variants for fast switching.
- Export through the same canvas-based output pipeline as any other text styling.
